Tina Santucci
While working in clay, I am the happiest when putting a teapot together. I enjoy throwing multiple parts and waiting for the perfect moment to make each attachment.
I'm currently working on a new body of work while teaching adults the process of throwing and trimming cylinders, bowls, plates at Funke Fired Arts ceramic studio in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The process of working in clay — making, forming, firing and glazing — brings enjoyment to me. Clay can be both extremely fragile yet very strong. My functional work is a celebration of every day occasions — every day is a gift.
